Discovery the wonderful Norfolk Island
Imagine a lush, beautiful island with sandy beaches, jagged cliffs and tall pine trees supported by a local community with a simple, laid back way of life. Norfolk Island is such a place. This green island paradise is found in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean and is just 35 square kilometers in size with 32km of coast line.
Holidays on Norfolk Island feel like you have been isolated from the rest of the world. The buildings have colonial architecture, a heritage from its English ancestors.
On Norfolk Island you will not find any railways, port or harbours, or even any busy roads for that matter. There are eighty kilometers of lane ways across the island and cows still have the right of way.
Day 1
Today you depart Brisbane International airport to connect with the Air New Zealand flight to Norfolk Island.
Upon arrival Tall Trees Tours will meet you at Norfolk Island Airprot and transfer you to Governor's Lodge Resort.
6.30pm Flecther's Fate:
A fascinating evening of interactive theatre, intrigue & mystery. This entertaining play, examining the possible last movements and final whaerabouts of the famous mutineers, Flecther Christian, is dramatically acted out by a 6 character cast over a sumptuous 3 course dinner.
Day 2
9.00am Tall Tree's Half-Day Tour
This is a must for all visitors to norfolk Island, visit Historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge & much more. See & Hear about the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches & golf course, the renowned Melanesian Chapel our Government, laws & Lifestyle.
Enjoy views from scenic spots on this full commentary conducted tour. Rest for delicious morning tes in the garden of a historic island home built by Fletcher Christian & Matthew Quintal.
1.00pm Island Culture Tour
Experience the culture of our forebears! From out mutineer ancestors & their Tahitian wives came the art of wood craft, weaving, cooking & our Norfolk language. On this tour you see woodturning demonstration using Norfolk timber & vosot an island home where you will learn about cooking . An Island waeving demonstration & a presentation on the Norfolk language will follow the afternoon tea break.
7.15pm Wonderland by Night
The setting is 10 acres of magical Norfolk Pines & bushland lit up like an enchanted forest. Meander along (or ride the moon buggy) a gentle winding path with Archie, a decendant of the Bounty Muntineers, as he recites his poems and lights up the dioramas.
Day 3
8.30 am Behind the Hedges
Travel to Anson Bay to visit a small hobby farm, which has been instrumental in improving the local livestock industry. Close bt see a demonstration at Norfolk's major pottery and browse at the Cottage Pottery Shop.
After a delicious morning tea at a scenic location, visit a beautiful private and commercial garden that supplies out local florist with stock.
Exclusive to Tall Tree's visit "Sweeties" and learn how chocolate is made on Norflk.
Free Afternoon
4.45pm Island Fish Fry
Enjoy a feast of Island dishes, salads, homemade bread and fresh fried fish, followed by Island deserts and tea / coffee.

Day 4
8.30am Culla & CO
Fordo, Geordie, Sailoe, Glow & Ricki the big beautiful Clysdale horses, invite you to Clip clop "Down Memory lane" with them and their driver Culla on the 2 hour Steele's Point Carousel Horse & Carriage Tour - Enjoy a cuppa & clifftop views on privat property.
6.00pm Progressive Dinner to Island Homes
Enjoy a 3 Course Meal Progressing to different Norfolk Island Family homes. A fun night and a great way to meet the local people & sample some of the local dishes.
Day 5
7.30am Breakfast Bushwalk
Make your choice of a stroll through Hundred Acres Reserve or for more energetic, a leisurely 3.5Km walk through Mt Bates to Captain Cook monument. At the end of the walks we meet on the clifftop for a delicious breakfast BBQ.
1.00pm Farm & Industry Tour
Go behind tourism and see a selction of local industries - the islands market garden & piggery, Helen Reddy's aquaponics, a state of the art Kentia Palm nursery that export to Europe, and a soft drink manufacturer & more exclusive venues.
7.30pm Muntiny on the Bounty Show
See descendants of the muntineers bring the story of the famed "Muntiy on the Bounty" and historic events to life in a one & half hour show performed in an outdoor amphitheater on Norfolk's western coastline.
Day 6
Free Morning
1.00pm Convict Settlement Tour
Join us on an in-depth tour of the historic Georgian settlement on Kingston. Walk through the cemetery & hear the history of the interesting convict & colonial headstones, hear stories of the house along quality row. Walk through the ruins of the new goal, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill. Afternoon tea included.
5.45pm Night as a Convict
A fun night out for all ages, dress as a convict & join with the commandant for an evening of festing & singing. Great food, great fun (outfitt supplied)
Day 7
9.00am Christian's 4WD Tour
Join John & his Island staff - all direct descendants of the Bounty mutineers; on an exciting 3 hour tour to point of Norfolk that are only accessable by 4WD.
This back of beyond tour takes you through private properties and the national park featuring spectacular scenery, native flora and bird life.
It also includes delicious handmade cakes with tes / coffee at a beautiful island home.
Don't expect a rough race through the scrub. Drivers are conscientious and very knowledgeable. All vehicles are comfortable modern 4WD's. A great tour for all.

7.15pm Sound and Light Show
Nightfall at kingston brings a different mood to the convict settlement. The stillness and the atars are there just as they were before mankind arrived in 1788. However, with the dramitic use of real sounds, theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the stillness is broken as Tall Tree Tours takes you through the horrifying decades of Norfolk island's convict era.
